The small plant namely Saifia Hamidia Unani Tibbiya College was planted in 1962.

The College is being run in spacious building furnished with adequate infrastructure.

 The small plant namely Saifia Hamidia Unani Tibbiya College was planted in 1962 by the Unani Tibbi Education Society of Burhanpur. It was named after the two world-renowned personalities: the one being late Dr. Taher Saifuddin Saheb (Q.S.), the spiritual Head Priest Dawoodi Bohra sect and the other one late Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan Alhaj Hakeem Abdul Hameed Saheb (A.Q.) the Founder trustee of Hamdard National Foundation, the Founder Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi.

  The College is located on S.H. No.27 (Khandwa-Burhanpur Road) on the outskirts of the fortified city of Burhanpur and is being run in spacious building furnished with adequate infrastructure. The Knowledge of fundamental and advance theories and principles of Unani System of Medicine as well as the modern medical subject i.e. Medicine, Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Gynae & Obstetric and PSM etc. The college has the following moderately equipped departments.

The Unani Tibbi Education Society, Burhanpur (MP) constructed a 150 bedded Hospital namely Saeeda Hospital & Research Centre for the causes of human race.

Shri Motilalji Vora. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh laid down the foundation stone of Saeeda Hospital & Research Centre on Jan 4th 1986 .The hospital was formally inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Digvijay Singh ji in presence of Hakim Iqbal Ahmed Saheb, Hamdard New Delhi and Hakim Khalid Siddiqui, Director CCRUM, Qazi Irshad Hussain, Hamdard New Delhi on 25th October 2001 and named as mark of reverence and commemoration of beloved wife of Qibla Hakim Abdull Hameed Saheb (A.Q.). Area of Hospital is about 50,000 sq. ft. (basement, ground + 3 floors) come up. In addition to this residential quarters are also available for doctors to be employed in the hospital.

The spacious palatial impressive hospital building includes 2 Operation Theatres, Labour Room, Pathology, Radiology and Physiotherapy Laboratories, N.I.C.U., Sonography & E.C.G units, Male/Female General/Private wards and O.P.D. consultancy and all these are moderately equipped.

Age

Candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English in their 10+2 exam. Candidates who are willing to take admission must be 17 years.

Fee Structure

The Fee for the BUMS course per year shall be charged at the rate of prescribed by the competent authority of college & Fee Fixation Committee (M.P.) (Revisable time to time)

Eligibility Criteria

The ministry of MP has decided to take admission for BUMS on the basis of NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test). The selection and allotment of candidates for BUMS course will be made from the Merit list Prepared by CBSE. Hence candidate who want to pursue the BUMS course form the state of Madhya Pradesh have to qualify NEET. The candidates who will clear NEET will be eligible for taking admission in college under M.P. State. Selection and allotment of these seats will be conducted by Department of AYUSH Govt. Of M.P.

The basic requirement for the eligibility to get the admission to BUMS programme is qualifying the 10+2 examination with 50% marks. The candidate must have the physics, chemistry and biology in 12th class. The students who have the language Urdu in 12th class or having proficiency in Urdu language has given the preference in admission.
